I watched the movie again the other day, and remembered how much I love the sets. Rob Gordon's (John Cusack's) apartment is wonderful--what with his album collection, dark colours, large basebords and concert posters on the walls. Marie De Salle's apartment is equally amazing, especially this window room divider:
When we first got possession of the condo, I asked what people thought would work as a good room divider for the space between the living room and my makeshift bedroom. I ended up getting a wardrobe unit and have a curtain blocking off rest of the space/functioning as a door. But if privacy wasn't an issue, I would love love love to have a series of vintage windows hung from the ceiling.
Here are a couple of inspiring pictures of people who have actually been able to do this in their own abodes. (I admit, I'm a little jealous!)

And Dave and Shyla's loft via Apartment Therapy. Actually, their whole home tour is inspiring. Check it out here.
Perhaps next time I move I'll have a chance to do something similar. But (fortunately!) I don't think I'll be moving for awhile yet. I mean, I'm just getting around to hanging pictures now.
This afternoon I'm heading to Edmonton with my Mum to visit some family and just decompress after the last couple of months of crazy stress. We'll be there until Sunday; I'm hoping to catch the Goya exhibit at the Art Gallery of Alberta, as well as spend quality time with my Grandma, Aunts, Uncles and cousins who I haven't seen in eons.

Makes me want to decorate! Enjoy the Goya exhibit - love him!
I love, love, LOVE that movie! And I love the window-divider - too many kids in my house to make that feasible, but it still looks sooooo cool!
