When we first moved in to our condo, we acquired a paper cut out of a chick to put on our door. However, after a mini unit war, the chick was tragically ripped apart. So. I put up some felt cut out snowflakes to make our house seem a little more welcoming, but those slowly fell down. Though one was still clinging to the door, I decided to take it down, since snowflakes aren't really seasonal anymore (which is wonderful!)
Instead, I replaced it with a cute little bunting! It was fun and simple to make, with just fabric scraps and a bit of yarn.
You can find a wonderful tutorial here if you want to make one yourself. I think you should!
(Note: the tutorial is for threaded bunting, whereas mine is just stitched right onto the string.)

So cute! And truly welcoming. :-)
My own latest project is terribly tiring but also rewarding at the same time; I'm using ultra-thin knitting needles and sewing thread (7 different colours in a jar, unravelling as one) to knit a miniature rug for a friend's dollhouse. I might take photos and make a post out of it once I'm done!
