No looking back, no turning into salt.

I've had a series of off days, this past week or so.
Nothing has really happened I guess; it could just be the February blahs in addition to life's normal stress, but it's got me feeling down.
I tried a few things--taking vitamins and making to-do lists--but it wasn't enough.  So, after giving it some thought, I decided that what would be best for me right now is if I quit my job.
I was finding that I didn't have time for me, and I just wasn't inspired by it anymore.  (Not that being a receptionist is all that inspiring at the best of times...) It was getting to be way too much with school and plain old life in general.  Besides, the next couple of months are going to be hectic indeed.  And I've lined things up so that I can lifeguard again this summer, so finances aren't too big of a worry.

Anyway, right now I'm smitten with these inspirational letterpress prints.  I think that the whole letterpress technique is fascinating--such history to it!  Though it's one of the few crafty things I have yet to try my hand at.

The Love Shop (Not a letterpress print, but such a great message).

I can't really make my mind up; I'm kind of between "Make your mark" and "Follow your bliss". :-)
You're not getting any 'Awww, I'm sorry you quit your job' from me. You clearly wanted to go ahead and do it, so I'm totally with you!! I know how it feels to feel uninspired.
Hugs!

lol! That's not what I was wanting when writing this! And I'm excited about not having to trek across town every day, and to be able to focus on school and friends and family and making things.

Good for you for figuring out what was making you blah and taking care of it! I made the same decision last summer to leave my job when I realized it was bringing me way down, and I haven't looked back. And hopefully you won't either. Good luck!

Love these prints, btw!
